My job? To make sure the installations at the plant are constantly available. Along with my team, I coordinate operations and surveillance from the control room.
As a design engineer, I work with installations throughout their entire service life. Each stage is a project in itself, all the way from design through to decommissioning!
Working on an independent basis, I inspect all activities involving quality and safety matters. I also provide advice and assistance to the other technical departments. Safety above all else!
GDF SUEZ currently employs approximately 6,000 men and women with specific nuclear expertise. Over the next 5 years, more than 450 engineers and 1,500 technicians will join the Group to replace employees who are retiring and to continue the development of our projects. In order to meet this challenge, we are organizing the Nuclear Trainees Program. Once you have been recruited in one of our nuclear entities, you will participate in this one-year training scheme that combines theoretical learning with field experience.
For a young engineer like you, this is an exceptional opportunity to become a generalist in nuclear while you build a network of contacts within the Group. The program includes more than 400 hours of training in France and Belgium, in all aspects of nuclear energy, with priority given to safety, covering production, maintenance, fuel and waste management, decommissioning, and more.
Are you a young engineering graduate or in your
last year of studies and do you want to make an
active contribution to the operational management of
our nuclear power plants and to the development of
innovative projects in nuclear engineering (from
design to decommissioning)?
If you join us, you will
receive an initial ONE-YEAR training program, the
“Nuclear Trainees Program”, and benefit from a
unique skills-development policy and all the
advantages of our international Group including
responsibilities, a variety of assignments, and
mobility.
